Before I get to talking about the pair of jeans I can’t live without, let me tell you a bit about my history with jeans and our love-hate relationship.
For years, I hated jeans. Absolutely hated them. They always felt so boring to me, and like they were coming between myself and all of the pretty dresses out there. You guys, I’m a dress kind of girl, always have been. Ever since I was little. But then again, it might have to do with the fact that my mom would always put dresses on us as little girls. I loved it!
Growing up, I continued wearing dresses as often as I could. Jeans were still not an option (not my first one, anyway), not unless the occasion called for it. It took me a few years to come around into liking them. And that’s only because I had to. I couldn’t wear dresses to school because I had to carry my sewing supplies, projects and books up the stairs. It was too much of a struggle. And now, I can’t wear them to work because getting stuff done would be too hard.
Fast forward to now, I can say I have a strong (I feel) collection of jeans. Small, but strong. I’ve come to gather a couple pair of jeans I absolutely love. You’ll notice many of the jeans I blog about, are on constant repeat. Which is what you essentially want out of a good pair of jeans. Always make sure they’re sturdy, versatile, and above all, comfy! This is my most comfiest pair! I got these girlfriend style jeans from American Eagle (similar pair), and have been living in them since! Seriously, every day. They’re also my first distressed pair of jeans. I know. Where have I been?! The ones you may have seen on me before, I’ve DIY’d myself. Check out this post on how to bring new life to old jeans.
I’ve found myself living in this pair of jeans since I bought them, and have already dressed them up and down. Worn them out on date nights and girls night. They’re everything. I found a similar pair, tomgirl style (the name alone gets me! LOL), which I’m already loving just from looks. They’re a bit more loose and a bit more distressed. If you’re looking for a pair of jeans to live in, check out a pair similar to the ones I’m wearing or these tomgirl style jeans. They’re both pretty awesome.
Also, I got these amazing shoes at Burlington Coat Factory, for just $10!!
