I’ve got my guy, I’ve got the ring, and now I’ve got my girls!!
I’m so excited to finally be sharing with you how I asked my bridesmaids! Things here have been getting crazier and crazier, but also more real and so exciting! Between making my own wedding dress, being my sisters Maid of Honor, DIY-ing small wedding details and having started marriage classes, Tony and I could not feel more blessed to have such loving and supporting family and friends. We had to make it official and ask our bridal party already!
When thinking of how to ask or what to get our bridal party, we had only two things in mind to go by: 1) making them feel as loved and appreciated as they’ve made us feel, to this day, as a couple and individually; and 2) gifting them something practical – something they would actually use and hopefully love.
I wanted my bridesmaids to feel extra pampered and extra loved (before getting them into some ugly dresses… Ha! Just kidding! They’re gonna be the most beautiful bridesmaids you’ve ever seen!!) so here’s what I put together for them:
A Stella Rosso Mini to #Stellabrate the occasion. It’s one of my all time favorite wines and I know the girls love it too! If you’ve never tried, or even heard of Stella Rosa, you have to check them out! They have so many great flavors! My favorites would have to be the Stella Rosso, Stella Black, Stella Pink, Stella Peach… actually, they’re honestly all my favorite! The only ones I have yet to try are the ones from their Imperiale collection but I’m sure they’re just as great as the rest of their wines!
You know what else is great? Chocolate! Chocolate, you guys! Always include some type of chocolate or candy – preferably dark chocolate though, it’s good for the heart and goes well with Stella which is why I went ahead and got my girls Strawberry & Champagne dark chocolate from World Market. So good!
To continue the pampering of my bridesmaids, I included bath pearls in their tumblers. I found these Pink Champagne scented ones at World Market, and they smell amazing! They had a ton of other options but this was by far, my absolute favorite. Check out their other bath pearl scents online or at your nearest World Market (they have way more in person! Just sayin’..).
Another goodie I included for my girls was the Yes to Grapefruit Face Mask. This particular mask is for brightening – perfect for a beautiful, fresh face on the day of the wedding! Eeeck! So excited!!
Last but not least: the tumbler. I wanted to get the girls something they would actually use and love, so I chose this pretty green, floral-print tumbler for them. I know I could’ve gotten them those cute “bridesmaid” and “maid of honor” ones, but I wanted them to continue using them way after the wedding had passed, so I opted for a timeless, abstract pattern instead. I then created a little hangtag to go with it.
There you have it! Super simple to make and fun to fill. All you have to do is pick a fun tumbler and customize the goodies that go in, according to the event/occasion it’s for. You can make these for so many different things: prizes for bridal shower and baby shower games, asking your bridesmaids, giving them as birthday gifts, thank you gifts, raffles, care kits for family and friends, shaving kit goodies for men, I love you packages, bachelor/ette hangover kits – the list goes on!
Thinking about it now, they’re like year-round stockings – except they’re not in the shape of a boot or sock!
Fun stuffer ideas: nail polish, chocolate, chapstick/lip balm or lipstick, cash, gift cards, flowers, bath pearls, face masks, favorite snacks, jewelry, sunnies, date night ideas, cigars, mini alcohol bottles, cuff links, tie bar and tie for your man, and so much more – get creative! Leave a comment below letting me know what you’d put in your tumbler and what occasion (or who) you’d make it for.
And you guys, in case you we’re wondering…
