Denim on Denim — No Brainer

You guys, I don’t think I’ll ever quit preaching how great of a combination denim on denim really is. It’s the perfect transitional look and, easily, an all time favorite -easy to put together and you can’t go wrong with it.

Many of the denim tops I own are button ups, so accessorizing the collar is priority.

By now, you probably may have already noticed I own a handful of bolo ties. All of which I love on button ups, not just my denim ones. This time however, I changed things up by adding more blue, rather than just a bolo tie. I opted for a dark blue bandana and my sequin clutch from Anthropologie (similar clutch) which has small hints of blue and adds just enough design to complete the look.

Styling tip: the denim top and denim bottom you’ve put together are most likely not gonna be the same shade of blue, making your outfit look and feel a bit incomplete at the moment. The solution to this off-colored scenario (and any other color scenario) is to add one or two more shades of that color. In this case, more blue.

This is such a fun, easy going look, for every day. I love it year round, but love it and wear it twice as much around Springtime. It’s a look you’ll be seeing a lot of this Spring, and on the blog -so keep an eye out for it! So how do you wear denim?
